Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she took flute lessons and harpsichord for three years. Lennox was able to live on her student stipend as she worked part-time. Lennox wasn't happy with the quality of her skills compared to other students at the Royal Academy and began looking for alternative paths. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 when she joined the group called Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance in I.T.V's talent show New Faces. She was the main voice for The Tourists a British pop group from 1977 until 1980. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Then, Lennox began working on her solo first album Diva and it was released in 1992. The album was hugely successful both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennox's 6th solo album was released in the month of November. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite soul jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. The first single from her debut album, Now I'm Letting You Go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on December 25th 1954. In the late 70s, she achieved minor fame as part in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. Lennox launched her solo career with her debut album Diva in 1992. This was the source of many hit songs like Walking in Broken Glass.
